Graduation Identity

The April & July 2025 Shillington graduation artwork is grounded in the idea of "defying the norm and exploring the unexpected."

Celebrating the spirit of creative freedom, the work captures the energy, individuality, and transformation that define the Shillington journey—from a student’s arrival to their launch into the design industry.

At the core of the visual identity is a dynamic word mark, animated using Cavalry. Each element of the mark was treated as a moving part, creating sequences that evolve frame-by-frame to reflect growth and change. These animations are paired with textured, expressive backgrounds—developed in After Effects and inspired by experimental mark-making—to bring an added layer of depth and personality.

These fluid visuals added a sense of movement and unpredictability, in an expressive, unexpected way. The result is a joyful, bold and vibrant identity that pushes past convention and celebrates the creative energy of our students and their incredible achievements.
